Such a lot of excitement...........large, very awkward parcel,which Ricky was carrying............would love to know what's inside.Mr Mantha Panther whisked off to Cape Town at a minute's notice........what's happening?
Jumbo was trying to finish his painting ,a Christmas present for Mamma Ellie. Zebbie watched him and broke the silence..."Do you rememder when Daddy Zee watched the children in a Christmas play a long time ago?Oh yes Zebs you did tell me about it.I remember the part when the angel visited a young girl and gave her a message." "Well Jumbo all around the world at this time people are STILL having Christmas plays just like we are doing."
Jumbo walked slowly away from his friend Zebbie and looked very sad "Hey there Jum,why so glum? Just thinking that with Christmas so close and I still don't have a part in the play." "Know something Jumbo,I think that you are going to have a part in the play and soon.
Ricky Rhino rushed past the two friends and called out loud "Please get all the help you can ,we are all going to open the parcel I fetched from the post office!" Jumbo and Zebbie rounded up all the help in the jungle with loud and excited shouts "Hurry ,hurry to the waterhole ...........in a jiffy the animals all streamed to the waterhole.
The awkward - shaped parcel was excitedly tugged at.....shoved around......and after all the string and tape was removed.................a most beautiful wreath,with green leaves and coloured candles,red,white and purple..........appeared."What's this all about? every animal exclaimed!
"OH MY! Ricky was not supposed to open the awkward - shaped parcel.The parcel was for the children,it was the Advent Wreath .Every year the children would prepare themselves by patiently waiting and lighting a candle every Sunday in Advent to remind them of the great day coming.
Jumbo really loved this.......................he thought"To be ready for Christmas............your heart should be ready to welcome the baby" Would like to know the baby's name ,he thought.I should find out what to call him.
